Roselyn presents, Tikadalipo, a program that provides insight into prisoners’ lives. It helps to bring to light the plight of the inmates in Malawi prisons. In spite of modern communication systems, some detainees are in there without their relatives knowing where they are as someone were picked up by police while on the streets and charged with rogue and vagabond.

The radio program, according to Roselyn helps bring to the attention of relevant authorities several issues including a girl who had been on remand since 1998 without trial.

“This was one of my saddest moments. I could not realize how much the program touches peoples’ lives until a young man who was eligible for release stayed on in prison for another six months because his file was missing” said Roselyn.

“We interview the inmate and pushed for his file to be searched for until he was released after a week of searching for the missing file”.  

Roselyn,is also the Station Manager of MIJ FM.
